EPICUR Education

EPICUR is one of the 17 selected European Universities which won the 2019 call for European University pilot projects launched by the European Commission through the Erasmus+ programme.

The projects of European Universities are pilot projects selected on three-years basis. Our project will not only last three years as our main objective is to have a sustainable and durable alliance, we work to develop our university in the long term.
The European Commission will release a follow-up call in 2021 and it will be the time for us to consolidate even more our ambitions to ensure the stability of the alliance in order to move towards higher levels of cooperation and integration for the future of education.

During the pilot phase, the alliance focuses on six key actions:
  1. Steering the alliance
  2. Promoting multilingualism and inclusive governance
  3. Implementing innovative methods of learning and teaching for European citizens of tomorrow
  4. Open the way to an inter university campus using a student and staff-centered approach
  5. Strengthen and connect regions through a European university: development within and between European regions
  6. Dissemination and sharing of good practices, sustainable cooperation

EPICUR Research

EPICUR Research kicked-off in early 2021! Funded in the framework of Horizon 2020 in the programme line “Science with and for Society” [SwafS], EPICUR Research will develop a common research agenda for all partner universities to improve and strengthen the interaction between science and society.

EPICUR Research is convinced that in a changing world, there is an urgent need to define NEW research questions that address the most important societal challenges.
Three themes called EPIChallenges serve as driving forces for collaboration within the research programme:

  • Sustainable Development Research (including climate change and energy)
  • Mobility, Migration and Identity
  • Public Health in Transition
