EPICUR Education

$From 2019 to 2022, EPICUR’s main outputs resulting from the pilot activities will be to: 

  • Expand the teaching and learning offerings based on Liberal Arts and Sciences, working towards a ‘European Bachelor of Liberal Arts and Sciences’
  • Consolidate and connect study programmes in the field of European languages and establishing a model language policy for multilingual universities
  • Create a virtual inter-university EPICUR campus environment to broaden the opportunities for virtual mobility and the development of new courses, testing a learning platform based on gamification meaning that we are implementing game elements in a non-game area such as Education
  • Strengthen the European regions through university networks by sharing resources, experiences and infrastructure, developing master labs and research internships for graduate students in partnership with societal partners and private enterprises
  • Foster university community involvement and commitment of the Alliance through annual forums, Ambassadors programme, challenges and festivals

EPICUR Research

The overarching objective of EPICUR-Research is to develop a common research and innovation strategy for EPICUR. 

Specific objectives: 

  • Design and pilot implementation of EPICUR collaborative research formats Define EPIChallenges
  • Target and support early career researchers in forming European, interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary research groups that address the EPIChallenges. 
  • Current defined EPIChallenges: Sustainability Research, Mobility, Migration, Identity, and Public Health
  • Develop the EPICrossroad and the EPICenter
