The EPICUR alliance is committed to a bottom-up and collaborative approach between the EPICUR coordination team and the main beneficiaries and future users of the project: the students. They are involved in all aspects of the project, from the governance to the activities and tasks.
Since the kick-off meetings in November 2019, students were involved in the creation and the development of the alliance.
In March 2020, the Student Board was created involving more than 15 students from all the partner universities. The Board meets regularly online and aims to meet twice yearly during the general EPICUR meetings.
The missions of the Student Board are wide:
For instance, the Student Board will be part of the organisation of the EPICUR Forum notably in terms of creativity, but also regarding the programme and the schedule.
The Student Board is also free to organise its own events that would help to provide information on the alliance. These events will contribute to building awareness on the project.
The Student Board sends two representatives to participate in each Steering Committee meeting and supports the EPICUR teams of their university on a local level.
The student board is composed of (at least) 2 representatives per Member University, with one vote per institution. Deeply rooted in diversity, EPICUR will make sure that the panel is gender-balanced and that the students come from different academic backgrounds. We will also make sure that all students are equally heard and considered.
Within the EPICUR Student Board, all the partner universities will be equally represented.
If you are a student at one of the partner universities and want to be involved in the Student Board, or if you just want more information about the Student led activities, please feel free to contact us!
