EPICUR > Bez kategorii > EPICURtalks. the Ukrainian Refugee Crisis of 2022

On 27 April, the University of Haute-Alsace hosted the first EPICURtalk dedicated to research. The online event dealt with the crisis of Ukrainian refugees due to the war in their country.

Two researchers were invited to analyse this situation from complementary perspectives based on an interdisciplinary approach:

  • Michal Buchowski. Professor of Social Anthropology at Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznan, who established the facts and shed light on the situation through various studies
  • Olena Polovynko. Lecturer in Philology and Slavic Studies at the University of Strasbourg who presented an overview of the sociolinguistic situation in Ukraine.

EPICURtalks Research is a series of short presentations by researchers from the partner universities, who share their perspective on a specified subject.
