EPICUR celebrates multilingualism! At the University of Strasbourg

Under the scope of the EPICUR European University Alliance, the University of Strasbourg wishes to bring together experts, teaching and administrative staff, students and high school pupils for an afternoon of exchange on issues related to multilingualism. This event is planned on the eve of the European Day of Languages organised by the Council of Europe every 26 September.

The event consists in a plenary session with introductory speeches from various institutional personalities, and a presentation of the first results of the questionnaire on students’ incentives to learn foreign languages, followed by two sessions happening simultaneously:

• On the one hand, a workshop aimed at EPICUR students and French high school students will allow them to discuss in groups around students’ motivation to learn foreign languages. 
• On the other hand, a workshop-conference will take place, where researchers, experts, teachers and staff will be able to give presentations followed by discussions on multilingualism topics encountered daily in EPICUR, namely the management of multilingual and multicultural classrooms and the role of English in higher education.
