The language policy launch will be a hybrid event and will feature the “unboxing” of the EPICUR European Model Language Policy. The 9 September 15:00 CEST.

After signing a joint statement on Multilingualism, the EPICUR alliance has been working hard to develop the first-ever European model language policy for European universities which will be presented during a hybrid  event.

The launch event is open to all European universities and public institutions and will feature the “unboxing” of the EPICUR European Model Language Policy by EPICUR student and staff representatives.

The model language policy aims to offer a framework in which linguistic and cultural inclusiveness, diversity and accessibility within higher education institutions is highlighted at both the institutional as the European universities alliance level. It also contains a range of best practices and examples from EPICUR universities and European universities alliances on the implementation and promotion of multilingualism in the fields of teaching & learning, research, governance and communication.

The University of Amsterdam is happy to host the launch event as the coordinating partner on the theme of Multilingualism & Inclusive Governance within the EPICUR alliance. The European model language policy will be made available on the EPICUR website during the launch event.
